CORPORATE HISTORY
Activation Laboratories Ltd. (Actlabs) was established in 1987 by Dr. Eric Hoffman.
The laboratory began by providing Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) to the academic, government and mineral exploration sectors. Since then, the Actlabs Group of Companies has added a vast array of services and innovative technologies, expanded into many industries, and opened up laboratories across Canada and internationally.
Actlabs has long been recognized as one of the highest quality labs serving the mineral industry. As part of our commitment to quality, we were one of the first mineral labs in the world to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation with CAN-P-1579 (Mineral Lab) and CAN-P-1578 (forensic lab). In addition to ISO 17025 accreditation, Actlabs is accredited/certified to ISO 9001:2015, Health Canada Licensed, FDA registered and inspected, OMAFRA accredited, and GMP/GLP compliant.

Since 1987, Actlabs has grown to offer high quality, comprehensive analytical services to clients in over 90 countries, through our global network of laboratories. Working in GMP compliant, FDA registered, Health Canada licensed, Omafra and ISO accredited laboratories, our highly qualified and experienced staff are capable of executing a vast array of analytical technologies to serve markets including Agricultural, Geochemical, Petroleum, Industrial Minerals, Forensic, Life Sciences, Environmental, Food Production and Biomedical Industries, among others.
